Have a ‘Run’derful Global Running Day with Disney!

Happy Global Running Day! Runners all over the world will unite today in celebration of the sport and community. We at runDisney want to invite you to join in the celebration! In honor of this worldwide occasion, we’re sharing just a few of our favorite ways to run with Disney.

Walt Disney World Resort

Get ready to run the WORLD… or at least one of the trails during your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! With more than 16 miles of running/walking trails available, you’ll be sure to find a scenic route with a touch of Disney at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Keep a lookout for official running trail signs along the path or stop by the front desk for more information and maps.

My personal favorite winds through Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – I mean, who wouldn’t want to “run” down Route 66 with a few friends from Disney•Pixar’s “Cars?” Get the complete list of designated running trails here.

Disney Cruise Line

Take your fitness afloat! Setting sail with Disney Cruise Line? Stretch your legs out during a sea day with a jog around the onboard track. Available on Deck 4 on all four ships, you won’t want to miss those stunning open sea views.

If your itinerary is making a stop at Disney’s private island of Castaway Cay, take your sneakers seaside during the Castaway Cay 5K! Before you start your day enjoying the island’s white sand beaches, snorkel lagoons and more, you’ll have an unforgettable race full of those tropical ocean breezes.

runDisney

Ready to go the distance on your next Disney trip? Make it a complete ‘race’cation when you join us for one of our magical runDisney race weekends at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Paris! You’ll experience enchanted races through Disney theme parks featuring Disney characters, live entertainment and a commemorative Disney medal waiting for you when you cross the finish line! From a full marathon and half marathons, 10Ks and 5Ks, to kids races and multi-race challenges, there are events and distances for everyone. Get more information on upcoming runDisney events here.
