For nearly 50 years, the Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has been an essential part of the magic and legacy at Walt Disney World Resort. The ranch is home to “The Happiest Horses on Earth,” who receive the very best care from a team of ranch hands, veterinarians, blacksmiths and nutritionists. Many hooves make up this happy family, including a variety of breeds, such as Quarter Horse, Percheron, Paint, Gypsy Vanner, Clydesdale, Belgian, Appaloosa, Arabian and Shetland ponies.
By spring 2020, Tri-Circle-D Ranch will be transformed with a beautiful new barn and pasture area. The Cast have put much thought and care into preserving the heritage of the ranch, packing up items to take with them to the new facility. Everyone is eager to have an updated and even larger space to care for the horses, just steps away from the old barn.
As the sun sets on this chapter of Tri-Circle-D Ranch, we look forward to its bright future and many memories to come. The Cast at Fort Wilderness, and even a couple of our ponies, recently signed a beam that will go into the new barn.
